Yasmeen Elmezain, Opinions editor
Sophomore Yasmeen Elmezain is in her second year of journalism as the Commander’s Opinions Editor. A proud Palestinian-American, Yasmeen holds her culture and heritage close to her heart. She discovered her passion for standing up for justice through poetry, public speaking, and activism at a young age. Now, she hopes journalism will serve as another outlet for self-expression and advocacy. In addition to being an Aaron Price Fellow, Yasmeen is committed to uplifting her community. When she’s not actively advocating for change, she enjoys exploring photography, creating art, and diving into a good book.
