• Co-captain of Varsity Cross Country Team
• Has been on Varsity Cross Country since freshman year
• Also shoots archery on the national and international level

• Inspired to start running by father, who was also a distance runner
• Often ran when he was younger out of boredom or for fun
• First joined Cross Country Team in middle school
• Enjoys the physical and mental effort required in distance running, as well as achieving goals
• Vice President of Acoustic Guitar Club
• Wants to pursue Law and Criminal Justice at San Diego State University
• Will continue to compete nationally in archery
• Most Memorable Meet: “It was really big for the entire team when we beat Cathedral Catholic, earlier this season, because we haven’t beat them since 2008. It shows how much we’ve grown over the years as a team. We’ve gone from being almost nothing to beating a CIF Champion team.”
• A Persevering Competitor: “Dan is
a testament to what hard work can do. He started out pretty good as a freshman, and because he keeps pushing himself, he’s now very strong and among the top runners in the league,” said Coach Gimi McCarthy.
