Athlete: Senior Carolyn Sison

Position: Starting Individual for Varsity Badminton Team

Experience: Sison has been playing varsity since junior year.

Background: Sison likes the competitive nature of badminton and likes the bonds and friendships made on the team. The strongest parts of the team are their humor and the support they provide. Because the team is so welcoming, Sison has not only felt at home, but also has excelled in competition. According to Sison, her specialty is in individual play. Competing in the Western League gives Sison and the team fierce competition like Scripps Ranch High. According to Sison, the team has such unity that it gives them an on-court advantage. According to Senior Diana Go, Sison performs as the top girl on the team and she especially stands out in individual play. Go said, “I think she is very important because she is the number one girl and is very supportive of everyone else. Sison is very hard working.”
