Athlete: Senior Marina Varano

Position: Setter, Captain of VarsityGirls Volleyball

Experience: Started Volleyball as a freshman

Background: Coach Choi describes Varano as a calm, intelligent athlete who always supports her teammates and exudes confidence on the court. Varano also plays on the Water Polo Team and enjoys going to the beach with friends. One of her most memorable moments was beating La Jolla this past year, which was an unexpected and exciting victory for the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team. Varano’s main goal in volleyball is to always have fun, “I always try my best, but I try not to take it so seriously that the sport no longer makes me happy,” said Varano.
