Many sixth period athletes and coaches used to use it for parking, but the upper field gravel lot is now closed to cars until the new stadium is finished.
According to Principal Jeff Olivero, the lot will be closed because the track team needs a place to practice. The lot has been leveled and chalked and is being used by runners to now.
Cars driven or parked on the lot could cause damage to the area, according to Olivero. “It is the only place the track team can practice,” he added.
Some athletes are perturbed that they can no longer bring all of their gear up to the field in their cars. “It is so annoying; it makes getting to practice harder,” said Soccer Player Payton Agnew
