Top Ten Gifts to Get Your Friends
December 18, 2015
With the stress of school, finals and, for seniors, college apps, you might have wished this winter for the gift of more time to hunt for the perfect presents. If you find yourself lost, having no idea what to get your friends for the holiday season, never fear. Some of the best gifts are the simplest.
10. Giftcards— Paper money is a thing of the past. Slap some cash onto a festive piece of plastic send your friends off to their favorite stores.
9. Books— There’s a book out there for everyone. Run to the shop, grab the most intriguing book and wrap it up. If your friend doesn’t like it, he/she can always use it as a paperweight or kindling for the fire.
8. Stuffed Animals— For your single friends. They may not be able to cuddle up with a special someone under the mistletoe this year, but at least their cute stuffed creatures can keep them company.
7. Homemade Cookies— Whip up a few dozen sweets for your buddies, and some extra “leftovers” for yourself.
6. Movie Tickets— Prepaid movie tickets make a great gift. Who wouldn’t love a free trip to the cinema? And the best part is that they can give the extra ticket to you. In a way, it’s a gift for yourself.
5. Lunch/coffee Date— Take your loved ones to their favorite place for lunch, your treat. They’ll all get to spend some quality time with you, and that in itself is a gift.
4. Socks— We all have that one friend who loves socks a little too much. Grab a pair for one or all of your friends. If they don’t like them, at least they can turn them into some crazy sock puppets.
3. Candy— If you’re out of time and cash, swing by the candy store, buy the biggest box of sweets you can find, slap a bow on it and hand it over to your friend. They’ll love you for the grub, and while they slip into a food coma, you can sneak out and go find them a real gift.
2. Accessories — Grab your friend a snazzy new hat or a scarf for the holidays, before the temperature returns to 70 degrees.
1. Regift— You know that gift that you got from your Secret Santa that you don’t plan on ever using? Regift it to someone who will. Make sure you don’t regift it to the person who gave it to you in the first place. That would be awkward.
